Recorded during the run up to the 2020 US presidential election. The lack of song structure expresses the feeling a lack of control over the most basic contours of our shared material conditions-- an inevitable feeling when our best hope is that a geriatric milquetoast neoliberal will rise to power and fail to confront a single existential threat we face, except for defeating an even worse and more incompetent geriatric fascist (well, not really defeat, actually). The random time signatures at the end of the song expresses the breaking of time by the increasing frequency of unprecedented crises caused by the rise of fascism and refusal to confront existential threats-- both problems being the direct result of the capital class unleashing its worst to protect its hoarded wealth and suppress the exploited people who are starting to wake up and fight back.
